Peace of Mind When Emergencies Arise
The Guaranteed Ride Program, a commuter service of the Connecticut Department of Transportation, provides FREE transportation to full-time Express bus and Easy Street® van commuters when emergencies arise during work hours.
A Guaranteed Ride is easy to arrange.
Commuter Express Bus Riders
Passengers who hold a current Monthly Pass and commute on Express bus service are eligible for a free Guaranteed Ride when personal emergencies, illness, or unscheduled overtime arise.
To arrange a ride, simply call the Guaranteed Ride HOTLINE at (800) 972-3279, menu option 7 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. on the day of your emergency. A customer service representative will gather the necessary information and arrange the ride. As of January 1, 2008, the Guaranteed Ride benefit is available up to 4 times during the calendar year (January – December) for Express Bus customers holding a current Monthly Pass.
Please note that rides must be arranged through the Guaranteed Ride HOTLINE. You will not be reimbursed if you contact the taxi company directly.
Easy Street® Vans
Easy Street® drivers and full-time riders may call for a free Guaranteed Ride when illness, a personal emergency or unscheduled overtime arise. The service covers all work schedules and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To request a Guaranteed Ride, telephone (800) 972-3279, menu option 7.
A customer service representative will gather the necessary information and arrange the ride.
As of January 1, 2008, Easy Street® Drivers and full-time riders may use the Guaranteed Ride benefit up to 4 times during the benefit year (July – June).
As of August 1, 2008, Easy Street® part-time riders may use the Guaranteed Ride benefit up to 2 times during the benefit year (July - June).
